“I saw myself having a transitional housing program for awhile but not specifically one for just women. As God continued to reveal his direction to me it was clear that women and women with children were severely underserved in our area.”-Renee Miller
Amie Tyson -Nubern, Store Manager
“I was released from a three year prison sentence in March, 2009. Just one week after my release from incarceration, I was hired at Mt. Moriah Thrift Store. Because of my background I thought I’d never be able to have the employment responsibilities that I have now. I started my job at MMCF doing retail merchandising, sorting donations, and cashiering. Now, just one year later, I manage the entire store. My life is a testimony of what God can do with a willing heart and determination to change. I’m very happy that I met MMCF because I think it was a big stepping stone to regaining control of my life. While I didn’t live at the transition home, the second chance employment program for felons, has enabled me to support myself and my family since my release. I’m now married to a wonderful Christian man, have a great relationship with my family, and true friends who support me and love me for who I am.”
