Potential Residents
Dear Potential MMCF Resident,
We are all responsible for our actions and life choices. Becoming homeless is more often because of poor choices than because of situations you had no control over. Now that you are in a situation where you are experiencing homelessness, it is up to you and you alone to overcome it. Mt. Moriah will provide tools for you to overcome the situation you are in but it is up to YOU to use the tools given, apply yourself, and become an asset to society instead of a burden. It is important that you come into this program knowing and agreeing with the following 5 statements:
It’s NOT up to Mt. Moriah
It’s NOT up to a Church
It’s NOT up to an Agency or Organization
It’s NOT up to the Government
IT IS UP TO YOU!
We will not give you more than you need. You are here to become a productive citizen instead of a panhandler without a purpose in life. You will receive life’s necessities, not creature comforts. The schedule mandated to you is the same schedule followed by the directors of this program for their own lives. You are not being asked to do anything harder than those who are serving you. However, you will not be permitted to do less than those serving you.
Your schedule is as follows:
